Union State Bank announced the promotion of Shannon Boyle, assistant vice president to director of human resource operations.
Boyle joined Union State Bank in 1996 as a participant in the Bank's management associate program. After her completion of the program in 1998 she joined the marketing department as a marketing technical coordinator. In 2001, Boyle was transferred to the human resources department as a human resources generalist. Boyle was certified as a Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute, Society of Human Resource Management in January 2005.

In her new position, Boyle's responsibilities include employee benefits, compliance including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, administration of policies, procedures, employee records and appraisal/compensation processes.
In September 2006 she received "Rockland's 40 under 40" award from the REDC. In 2001 Boyle received an Employee Service Award for her commitment and dedication to the Bank. She is active in her community serving as Chair of all blood drives at the Bank in conjunction with the New York Blood Center as well as participating in several charity walks and bowl-a-thons..
Boyle is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY where she earned a BS in business administration. She lives in Orangeburg, NY.
