Jennifer J. Marko has been promoted to principal of workplace strategies for the international interior architecture firm IA, announced Eric Regh, managing principal of the firm's New York office.

In her new position, Marko will be responsible for business development project consulting work for corporate interiors on a global basis. Formerly based in IA's San Francisco headquarters as an associate, she worked during her six-year tenure in various capacities for the firm, including workplace design and workplace management. In 1995, she established IA's "green" division, which focuses on the use of environmentally-friendly products and planning methods in corporate design.

Marko is recognized for her skill in working closely with technology groups, human resource divisions, and facility departments when implementing highly efficient work environments. She has provided strategic consulting services for a wide range of industries, including technology, financial services, and government agencies. Her portfolio includes Applied Materials, Aspect, PeopleSoft, Del Monte, Infomix Software, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the State of California, Blue Shield of California, Digital Island, and Barclays Global Investors.

Marko was educated in Canada and has a bachelor of arts degree and an interior design degree.

Robert B. Palestri has been appointed president of the management services division of Gale & Wentworth, LLC. Palestri was formerly a senior vice president at Gale & Wentworth and, in his new capacity, will further expand the worldwide reach of the management services division.

Palestri joined Gale & Wentworth in 1987 to lead the new management services division. During his tenure, the division's portfolio has grown to more than 50 million square feet. Palestri possesses the CFM designation from the International Facility Management Association. A former Mayor of Independence Township and licensed realtor in New Jersey, he is also a member of the N.J. Board of Realtors and the Building Owners and Managers Association. He currently serves as a member of BOMA International's national advisory council and serves on BOMA's education advisory council.

An alumnus of Kean College in Union, N.J., he earned B.A. and an M.A. degrees.

Ernest J. Naples has been named vice president of TAMS Consultants, Inc. in New York City.

Naples serves as the chief architect at TAMS, assuming responsibility for directing multidisciplinary design teams, scheduling, quality control, and client liaisons for architectural projects. His assignments have included architectural design at numerous airports in the United States as well as abroad, including Iran, Australia, and Venezuela.

He has also served as project manager on the redevelopment of Madison Square Garden, the Sunnyside Yards railroad passenger terminal in Queens, and the East Midtown Passenger Terminal for the Long Island Rail Road.

Naples holds a B.A. and a B.S. in architecture from the City University of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
