Westminster Hospitality Group markets hotel innovations

The Westminster Hotel in Livingston, N.J. has completed construction of a prototype model guest room now available for tours, announced Richard Verruni, general manager. Westminster Hospitality Group, which is a division of Kushner Companies of Florham Park, New Jersey, is developing this new independent facility, which is scheduled to open in Jan. 2003. Corporate meeting planners, travel agents, and prospective overnight guests are invited to preview the room, which includes some of the industry's newest guest amenities.

Designed by J/Brice Design International, Inc., each guest room features warm, natural finishes with subtle wood tones and brushed nickel accents. The room's unique attributes include two locations with high-speed Internet access to accommodate laptop users; a pull-out ottoman in one of the nightstands to maximize comfort; rich leather-covered bed side lamps and headboards, as well as original atmospheric black and white photography.

All luxury rooms include triple-sheeted beds, down-filled bed pillows and duvet covers; in-room mini bars and safes sized to accommodate personal belongings, including laptops; high-speed Internet access; two-line cordless phones, and voicemail service. Fax machines will he available upon request.

The hotel will also include 10 spacious one-bedroom suites and junior suites with kitchenette facilities for extended-stay guests. In addition, the Westminster Club, a separate wing of specially appointed guest rooms, will feature all the options of the main wing as well as access to state-of-the-art workstations and fax, copier, and printer services in an on-site business center.

In addition to its first-class accommodations, the Westminster Hotel offers one of the area's largest luxury ballrooms and conference facilities, totaling 15,000 SF for corporate meetings or social functions. The private conference rooms are also available for smaller gatherings including conferences, private breakfasts, and lunches.

The Westminster Hotel is located off Eisenhower Parkway on State Route 10 and is minutes from Routes 280, 287, 78, and 24 near Short Hills, Morristown, Millburn and Chatham; 20 miles west of New York City; and 20 minutes from Newark International Airport.
