Brookfield's Zuccotti to be honored May 8

Larry A. Silverstein, chairman, and Jerry L. Cohen, president, of the Realty Foundation of New York announced that John E. Zuccotti will be the honoree at the May 8 annual luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria.
Zuccotti is chairman of Brookfield Properties and senior counsel in the real estate department of the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Zuccotti has been a member of the foundation for many years sharing his wise counsel and always supportive of philanthropic endeavors. He has had an exciting career, spending a significant period of time in New York City government and was a member of HUD's Task Force in Washington. He has lectured on planning and development at Harvard, Columbia, Yale and The New School for Social Research, and was appointed to the faculty of both Yale and Columbia Law School as adjunct professor.
At the annual meeting held November 2001, the board elected Maureen Clancy, vice president, Bank of New York; Hal Fetner, Sidney Fetner Associates; and Robert Shapiro, City Center Real Estate as vice president of the foundation. Also announced was the appointment of Jonathan Mechanic, Fried, Frank, Harris Shriver & Jacobson and Mark Walsh, Lehman Brothers as directors of the foundation.
