Real Estate Weekly, Feb 2, 2000
Mack-Cali Realty Corporation was the honoree at the 1999 Real Estate Awards Breakfast held at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook, NY. More than 550 of the New York metropolitan area's real estate and industry-related professionals attended the event.
Timothy M. Jones, president of Mack-Cali, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Presenting the award was Martin Berger, chairman of RMC Development Co., LLC and City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank. County Executive Andrew Spano honored Mack-Cali with a County Proclamation. Many of Mack-Cali's vendors and business associates showed support for the developer by their participation in the event.
The annual breakfast is part of a national community-to-community campaign by the March of Dimes to expand its fight against infant mortality, low birth weight and birth defects. The event honors those outstanding individuals or companies whose commercial real estate activities and leadership have enhanced the local community. The breakfast raised over $130,000 for the mission, exceeding its goals and selling a new record for total funds raised.
