CB Richard Ellis, Assoc. of Legal Administrators launch Annual Law Firm Survey

Due to the dramatic changes affecting the legal profession over the past 10 years, the Law Firm Practice Group of CB Richard Ellis. Global Corporate Services, in association with the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), has launched its Annual Law Firm Survey. The study is geared to help promote knowledge and increased profitability for all law firms nationally.
"The evolution of the legal profession has progressed by leaps and bounds over the past decade," said Steve Swerdlow, president CB Richard Ellis Global Corporate Services. "It has never been more important to stay up-to-date with the changes affecting this industry than it is today. For this reason, we are focusing on the key and pressing issues that are concerning law firms, and the trends occurring in the legal marketplace that impact real estate decisions."
The first phase of the benchmarketing study was recently completed with the distribution of 3,000 surveys to small, midsize and large law firms randomly selected in order to obtain the most accurate and comprehensive results possible. The deadline for the completion of the Annual Law Firm Survey is Feb. 1, 2003. The firm has already garnered strong industry support and plans to discuss the results in a seminar called "Lost in Space" at the ALA Annual Education Conference and Exposition in San Diego, California on April 8.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to associate CB Richard Ellis with the ALA in supporting this national survey and are confident it will provide up-to-the minute statistical information that will be key issues for law firms to consider," said Jay Olshonsky, executive vice president CB Richard Ellis Law Firm Practice Group.
