Skyscraper Museum Exhibit
Feb. 5 to May 5 -- The Skyscraper Museum will present "WTC: Monument," a tribute to the Twin Towers and the World Trade Center complex. The exhibition will examine the complex in its conception, design, and construction, as well as in terms of its place in the postwar transformation of Lower Manhattan. NYU Course
Feb. 6 to May 8 -- The New York University Real Estate Institute will offer a course in multifamily property, entitled "Management of Government Assisted Housing" on 13 consecutive Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Donald McLain, owner of Realty Consultant Co., will serve as the instructor for the course. IREM Lunch
Feb. 20 -- The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) will hold their monthly luncheon speaker series with keynote speaker Steven W. Ford, senior managing director of Cushman & Wakefield's Facilities Management Group. Skyscraper Museum Presentation
Feb. 20 -- The Skyscraper Museum, in association with the New York Historical Society, will hold a presentation entitled "New York in the 1960's" starting at 6:30 p.m. Guy Tozzoli, president of the World Trade Centers Association, and Donald H. Elliott, former chairman of New York City Planning Commission, will discuss the transformation of Lower Manhattan in the 1960's and 70's. Fort Totten Lecture
Feb. 21 -- Historic Fort Totten: Its Past, Present and Future will be discussed at a free lecture at 6 p.m., at the NYC Parks Dept. Office, Olmsted Center, Flushing Meadows/Corona Park, in Queens (speaker to be announced). The public is welcome and architects receive Continuing Education Credits for attendance. The Olmsted Center is just east of the Grand Central Parkway, between Shea Stadium and the National Tennis Center. The lecture is presented by the Professional Design Center of New York, Inc. (PDC).
