WTC Student Exhibit
Feb. 6-28 - The Salvadori Center will present nine student designs for the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site. "Children Imaging The Future, Student Visions of the World Trade Center" opens four days after the Lower Manhattan Development Committee's display concludes, and will be held in the lobby of 75 Broad St., located across from the New York Stock Exchange. Appraisal Institute Course
Feb. 24 to March 31 -- The Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will offer a "Residential Case Study" continual education course on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Richard A. Meyer will be the instructor at the event. The classes will take place at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, at 720 Northern Boulevard in Brookville, N.Y. Tuition: $400 per person. PWC Networking Event
Feb. 25 -- Professional Women in Construction will hold a networking event, entitled "Meet the Construction Chiefs" from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Michele Medaglia, president of ACC Construction, William Goldstein, president of the New York City School Construction Authority, and Andy Frankl, president of IBEX Construction, will attend. Mold Seminar
Feb. 27 -- Sitomer Environmental Corp. will host a seminar titled "Mold Mania & Management" at the Regency Hotel, 540 Park Ave. The breakfast meeting will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. It will feature speakers from Sitomer Environmental who are experts trained and experienced in successful mold management. The panel will offer a 10-step program to manage mold and address mold-related financial, legal, health, insurance and career challenges. Continuing Eduction Course
Feb. 25 -- The Bronx Manhattan North Association of Realtors will hold a continuing education course, entitled "Building Your Real Estate Practice," from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jim Pugliese will serve as the instructor for the firm. NYARM Dinner
Feb. 26 -- The New York Association of Realty Managers, NYARM, holds its monthly membership meeting. The popular 6 to 7 p.m. open bar networking will address evacuation management via informal discussion groups. The findings of the discussion group will be presented during the dinner program from 7 to 8:15 p.m. The pre-dinner LEARNING SESSION from 4:30 to 6 p.m. features the second in the series of the required ethics course needed to achieve NYARM certification. This course, "Business Ethics for Property Managers," prepares managers for the complicated ethical issues confronted on a daily basis. Credit will be given to all participants for certification. Federation Seminar
Feb. 27 -- The Federation of New York Housing Cooperatives and Condominiums is sponsoring a seminar on the latest innovations in security strategy and implementation affecting the cooperative and condominium community at the New York Marriott Brooklyn, 333 Adams Street in Brooklyn, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Albert F. Pennisi, Federation president and senior partner at Pennisi Daniels & Norelli, LLP will moderate a stellar panel of experts including Howard Schechter, partner in the law firm Schechter & Brucker, PC; Alan Bender, courtesy of Lockman Security Systems; Bob DiMartini, Secure Resources and Communications and Glen Kotowski, general manager at North Shore Towers. The seminar is free for Federation members, $30 for Council of New York Cooperatives and Council of Cooperatives and Condominiums members and $50 for non-affiliated attendees.
