Caption: Ted Moudis Associates has received the IFMA award for Excellence in Design/Construction of a New Facility for their office space at 79 Madison Avenue. The 35,000 s/f two story space is comprised of a main reception area, studio workspace, administrative offices, resource library, multiple presentation rooms and cafe. The premise for the design was to harmonize a progressive type of office with an established place of work. The result is a mixture of both functionality and creativity, both of which are visible throughout the open studio workspace. Selected materials and finishes were essential in helping to create a balance within the office. Bright, white tones were used to form a pure, stark backdrop to the rich, dramatic Santos Rosewood.
