C & W wins award for annual report

Real Estate Weekly, August 14, 2002

Cushman & Wakefield Inc. announced that it has won a silver ARC award for its 2002 Annual Report.

The ARC awards are presented by Mercomm, a firm that promotes international communications standards in the fields of public relations, marketing, and design.

Cushman & Wakefield's entry was chosen from more than 1,000 submissions from prestigious corporations.

The theme of the book, "Breaking Away," emphasizes Cushman & Wakefield's ability to distance itself from its competition by going beyond traditional real estate practices and embracing new ideas and technologies to provide clients with customized real estate solutions. Ten case studies within the Annual Review showcase how Cushman & Wakefield is achieving this objective.

Among the case studies was Con Edison, the energy giant for which C&W identified a significant opportunity in the sale of a five-block parcel near the United Nations in Midtown Manhattan.

Other prime examples include Boeing, who worked with a 30-person, multi-city C&W team to relocate its headquarters and WPP Communications, for which C&W helped secure a flagship site in Singapore.
