Real Estate Weekly, August 14, 2002
Computerworld has named ePropertyTax, Inc. (www.epropertytax.com), the developer of an e-commerce solution for property tax management, as one of the top five financial, insurance and real estate websites in the world. The 2002 Computerworld Honors 21st Century Achievement Awards recognized the innovation of ePropertyTax in creating a web-enabled software product that provides services to 10 of the 16 largest REITs and manages the property taxes on more than $70 billion in assets.
ePropertyTax is the developer of Property Tax Office(R), the first and only Internet based software system that is revolutionizing the way commercial property owners are managing their property taxes. ePropertyTax clients experience increased tax savings, improved cash management, lower risk of missed deadlines, and lower administrative costs as a result of using Property Tax Office(R).
"ePropertyTax is using information technology to make great strides toward remarkable social achievement in finance, insurance and real estate," said Daniel Morrow, executive director of the Computerworld Honors Program. "The materials submitted on behalf of ePropertyTax will enrich the Program's growing collection on the Information Age, and help build an accurate historic record of the truly outstanding achievements being made in these remarkable times.
"Recipients of the Computerworld Honors 21st-Century Achievement Awards represent those organizations whose use of information technology has been especially noteworthy for the originality of its conception, the breadth of its vision, and the significance of its benefit to society."
"We are honored to have been selected by Computerworld as one of only five companies in the world to receive this award," said Richard D. Nearhood, CEO of ePropertyTax, Inc. "We have always been proud of our technological capabilities and this honor is a tribute to our employees who have dedicated themselves to creating a truly great product."
