Prudential Douglas Elliman broker becomes a TV star on CNN's new show

When CNN came to town, the network turned to Prudential Douglas Elliman for the real deal on local real estate. A crew from "Open House" interviewed Susan Jermusyk, a real estate broker with Prudential Douglas Elliman's Mattituck office.

"Open House" is a new program on the CNN Financial Network that covers housing trends, mortgage rates, financing options, renovations and decorating tips.

Jermusyk offered insight into the real estate market in North Fork and assisted the CNN team in gathering footage of local homes.

She also arranged interviews with prospective buyers Catherine Grillo and Carole Donlin, a Mattituck homeowner.

"It's wonderful to work with a program that deals with the intricacies of home-buying," said Prudential Douglas Elliman Mattituck branch manager John de Reeder.

"Purchasing a home is a big decision financially and emotionally. We expect 'Open House' to be a valuable resource and we're delighted to be involved."

The CNN crew filmed along Oregon Road and New Suffolk Avenue in Cutchogue and visited three local homes, two in Mattituck and one in Jamesport.

"Open House" is hosted by Gem Willis, the personal finance editor for CNN Business News.

The program airs Monday through Friday at noon and 3:00 p.m., EST.
