BK condo making a name for itself
Real Estate Weekly, Sept 10, 2008
BFC Partners is delighted to announce that Toren, Downtown Brooklyn's hottest condo, has won three CNBC Americas Property Awards. The three awards include: Best Condominium New York, Best High-Rise Architecture USA (National Category) and Best Developer Website USA (National Category). The award will be presented at a gala dinner to be held at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando on November 7th.
"This is a fantastic accomplishment for us. We are thrilled that Toren has been highlighted with these prestigious awards," said Joseph Ferrara, a partner with Donald Capoccia and Brandon Baron at BFC Partners, Toren's developer. "From the beginning our goal was to make Toren a superior and intelligent building; CNBC has recognized that. We are truly honored to be associated with the other outstanding 'world-class' developments across America."
The CNBC Americas Property Awards is the world's largest and most prestigious property competition receiving hundreds of entries in all categories. The objective of these awards is to encourage excellence in the property industry worldwide and to recognise and promote an international standard.
There are 21 different categories overall, some at state and some at USA national level. Up to two of the most outstanding entries in each category are given a four-star award, while the best overall entry will be given a five-star. The five star winners from each category of these Awards will have been automatically put forward for re-judging against the five star winners in other regions of the world, UK, Europe / Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. From this re-assessment, the 2008 CNBC International "Worlds Best" winners in each category will be identified and announced at the presentation ceremony in Florida.
Entries were judged by a panel of international independent professionals, chaired by Eric Pickles MP, British Shadow Secretary of State. Their collective knowledge of the property industry is second to none and unsurpassed by any other property awards. (Full list of judges below.)
Toren is just steps away from all major transportation including over a half-dozen subway lines and a short drive into the City over the Manhattan Bridge.
