Alon Tamir, founder and principal of HeimishHome.com, announced the full launch of the firm's website, HeimishHome.com. The Site. which has already seen 50,000 visits from homebuyers, realtors and members of the Jewish community, is the most extensive online resource of its kind.

Said Tamir, "We have already signed on significant realtors from the U.S. and Israel, as well as mortgage and other partners who recognize the invaluable benefit of the site. HeimishHome is more than a website, it is a place to visit on the web where Jewish homebuyers and realtors gain equal value and information they can use everyday."

Among the features of the site are: a shul finder, a mikvah finder, online mortgage applications and a one-of-a kind home finder that allows visitors to search by price location and house details. The site also offers editorial content, including guest editorials by leaders of local Jewish communities.

Chaim Greenberg, of New Amsterdam Realty in Manhattan, said, "As a realtor in the busiest real estate market in the world, I see huge value in HeimishHome.com as an advertising and educational medium for the Jewish community. While we rigorously open every listing to all homebuyers, we consistently seek out ad opportunities that allow us to reach those Who might not see new listings otherwise.

HeimishHome.com was founded by Tamir in 2003, then a computer science student at Yeshiva University.

"As a young graduate who had moved to the U.S. from Australia, I didn't know where to start in finding a home where my wife and t could have the information we needed on kosher butchers, synagogues, mikvahs and more," Tamir said. "My wife suggested that we start one ourselves."
