Caption: Dr. Charles H. Thornton, a structural engineer and co-chairman of The Thornton-Tomasetti Group, was recently presented with the State of Connecticut's first-ever Career Mentoring Award for founding the ACE Mentor Program, which introduces minority and disadvantaged high school students in Connecticut and nine other states to careers in architecture, construction and engineering.

The award was presented at The Governor's Prevention Partnership Mentoring Corporate Honor Roll Breakfast held at the Rocky Hill Marriott. Pictured (L to R) are: Jean M.
