The Real Estate Board of New York has presented Patrick Hanlon of The Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group LLC its Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year award.

The award, presented during the March 11th Members' Luncheon, honors the industry's most talented newcomers who are recognized for their professional accomplishment, demonstrated career potential, and community service.

Mr. Hanlon has been with Ackman-Ziff since February 1, 2000 and is now a Senior Director at the firm. He has successfully overseen the structuring, marketing, negotiation and closing of more than $860 million in debt, mezzanine, and equity financing for 23 separate transactions, and is currently overseeing $300 million of transactions.

"Since 1996, this award has provided us the opportunity to salute the most talked-about young real estate professionals," said Steven Spinola, president of the Real Estate Board of New York.

"Patrick Hanlon is highly regarded by both his colleagues and clients. We are certain that he will play increasingly significant roles within the industry and within our organization."

Mr. Hanlon has been involved with major deals executed on behalf of top-tier clients such as Stellar Management, Westbrook Partners, Starett Corporation, Brack Capital Real Estate, and Delma Properties.

Specifically, Mr. Hanlon was aggressively involved with Simon Ziff on the $101-million financing of Park West Village, for which the Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group was awarded the 2002 Most Ingenious Financing of the Year Award by the REBNY Finance Committee. In addition, Mr. Hanlon was involved in the $43million financing of the 22-story office tower at 22 Cortland Street, the $43-million recapitalization of 2 Rector Street in Lower Manhattan, and an $11-million bridge loan for a Mitchell-Lama property that was being removed from the program. Paul Massey of Massey Knakal Realty Services and chairman of REBNY's Commercial Board of Directors, applauded Mr. Hanlon's selection as Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year.

"Mr. Hanlon upholds high ethical standards in his business dealings, is an active team player and a leader in the industry," he said.
