Getting family-friendly on the Upper East Side

Real Estate Weekly, March 23, 2005

JD Carlisle's Cielo, a new luxury condominium building at 83rd Street and York Avenue, scheduled for occupation in the spring of 2006, promises to be the ultimate residence for families on the Upper East Side.

Designed by Perkins Eastman Architects PC, the 28-story Cielo will showcase luxurious amenities and finishes in spacious, family-sized apartments within walking distance of New York's best schools as well as the Upper East Side's finest restaurants, theaters, shopping, food markets and parks.

Cielo will offer a gracious array of services and amenities as well as art activities and programs for younger residents.

A fully equipped children's playroom will keep young ones engaged and within view of Cielo's 2,000-s/ f fitness center. Bicycling and strolling in nearby parks will be made easy by storage in the bicycle/pram room. Additional storage will be available, as will onsite parking in a 24-hour-attended parking garage and a laundry room with industrial size equipment.

"Cielo's location, space and amenities offer the right balance for today's sophisticated New York family," said Jules Demchick, president JD Carlisle Development Corp.
