CBRE exec' honored by Real Estate Institute

Monmouth University announced that it will host the eleventh annual Real Estate Institute Leadership Excellence Award Dinner on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 6 p.m.

The event will honor Patrick Murphy, Executive Managing Director, NY Tri-State Suburban Markets, CB Richard Ellis, for his extraordinary leadership and contributions to the state and real estate and business communities.

Honorary co-chairmen at the award dinner are Steven J. Pozycki, Chairman and CEO, SJP Properties, and John A. Somers, Executive Vice President, TIAA-CREF.

Don Moliver, Director of the Real Estate Institute, states: "We are delighted to be honoring Patrick Murphy as the recipient of our award. Mr. Murphy has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and excellence throughout his illustrious career."

Murphy is responsible for managing the company's New Jersey, Westchester and Long Island, NY, and Connecticut operations and has successfully represented many of the world's leading corporations.

Patrick Murphy is one of the most accomplished real estate professionals in the New Jersey market. As a manager and practitioner, Mr. Murphy drives the philosophy of collaboration to his teams of professionals, encouraging them to utilize a wide range of resources to deliver the very best service to the company's clients.

Murphy is committed to putting the client first, augmenting brokerage skills with powerful consulting resources, supporting his professionals with training and tools, and always taking the moral high ground.

A 21-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Murphy most recently served as executive director of the New Jersey operations of Insignia/ESG, before its merger with CB Richard Ellis in July 2003.

In addition to his abilities as a manager, Murphy is recognized as a premiere real estate advisor and dealmaker.

His recent accomplishments in tenant representation assignments include creative transactions and advisory assignments totaling millions of square feet on behalf of Chase Manhattan Bank in Carlstadt, NJ; AXA Financial in Manhattan and New Jersey; and General Dynamics SAT Division in NJ and North Carolina.

Prior to joining Insignia/ESG in 1991, Murphy served as Vice President at CPC Baker Harris.
