NYARM Event
March 26 - The New York Association of Realty Managers, NYARM sponsors Strike Preparation Day, at Tavern on The Green located at Central Park West and 67th Street. The 32 BJ contract update will be presented by James Berg and Peter Finn with the RAB, Realty Advisory Board, during the regular meeting and program from 1 to 2 p.m.. During the pre-pre-luncheon LEARNING SESSION at 11 am the 3rd in the series of the Required Ethics course, needed to achieve nyarm certification, will be given. Electricity Workshop
March 26 - New York State Public Service Commission and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority will hold a day-long workshop from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will discuss electricity issues, reduced energy use, and $mart programs. Appraisal Institute Seminar
Apr. 1 - The Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will hold a seminar entitled "Evaluating Residential Construction" starting at 8:30 a.m. The course will discuss the style, structure, and mechanical systems of residential houses. REIT Symposium
Apr. 2 - The REIT Center of New York University will holds its eighth annual symposium from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The symposium will include an investor roundtable, a discussion of current trends, and a five-year forecast. Atlantic Building Convention
Apr. 2 - The Atlantic Building Convention will hold its annual meeting from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. New Jersey Senate co-president John Bennett, New Jersey Senate co-president Dick Codey, New Jersey General Assembly speaker Albio Sires, and New Jersey General Assembly Republican leader Paul DiGaetano will be the featured speakers at the event. April 2 - The Real Estate Board of New York will host a mold seminar entitled "Mold in Commercial Buildings and on Construction Sites" at the Yale Club, 50 Vanderbilt Avenue - Grand Ballroom, NYC, 8 to 11 a.m. Our guest speakers are William Esposito, president, The Ambient Group; Richard Silberman, manager of business development, Healthy Buildings International, Inc.; and Stephen Gordon, principal, Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Real Estate Incentives Seminar
April 2 - Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) will hold a "Real Estate Incentive Programs Seminar" from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at BEDC's offices at 175 Remsen St., Suite 350, downtown Brooklyn. The presenters for the workshop are Don Giampietro, director of the Incentives Programs at the city's Department of Small Business Services, and Florence Adu, assistant vice president of the city's Economic Development Corporation. April 2 & 3 - The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is offering a course titled Understanding Financial Calculations & Strategies for Real Estate Managers from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Renwick Gardens, 332 East 29th St. The cost is $440 for REM members; $555 for non-members.
