REIT Symposium raised the bar

New York University (NYU) Real Estate Institute's 13th Annual REIT conference entitled, The New Deal Environmenr Where Are We Heading? drew 500 top professionals from the world's leading financial and real estate companies to participate in the one-day event held on April 3 at the Pierre Hotel.
NYU Divisional Dean D. Kenneth Patton, a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, hosted the event which convened industry leaders to discuss the current state of the market and the outlook for REITs in 2008. "NYU's Annual REIT Symposium is one of the must-attend REIT events every year for professionals around the globe," said Matthew Bruck, managing director of RICS Americas. "RICS is proud to be an affiliate of NYU's Real Estate Institute, which continually raises the bar with the quality and success of their events."
Over 45 speakers, including prominent executives from Goldman Sachs, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Merrill Lynch, covered financing deals in the new credit environment.
