NYU Course
New York University's Real Estate Institute (REI) offers the current 45-hour real estate salesperson's course and, as of July 2008, will offer the new 75-hour course. In addition, NYU REI will have a complete range of courses to help current brokers and salespeople stay abreast of current requirements and maintain their licenses in light of these new licensing laws. NYU REI is also offering an approved 22.5-hour continuing education course, titled "Managing Residential Property." This class fulfills the continuing education requirement for all New York State real estate licensees and is being offered on three consecutive days, Tuesday through Thursday, June 24 to 26, meeting from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The enrollment fee is $255.
NYU REI is offering an approved 22.5-hour continuing education course, titled "Real Estate Cash Flow Analysis." This class fulfills the continuing education requirement for all New York State real estate licensees and is being offered on three consecutive Fridays, beginning May 2 and ending on May 16, meeting from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The enrollment fee is $295. Queens College Courses
The Queens College - Continuing Education Program will offer an accelerated 45-hour real estate salesperson license course that will start on June 11, running for six days from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The new 75-hour licensing course will be offered on Sundays starting on June 15 and will end on Aug. 31, running from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for 10 sessions. The 45-hour real estate broker license course will also be offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 10 p.m. starting on June 9 and ending on July 21. LIREG Breakfast
Apr. 30: The Long Island Real Estate Group's breakfast meeting will focus on "Crisis Management - What to do When a Business Emergency Arises." The panel will review a case analysis of a real estate developer in the process of constructing a building and how to handle the situations the developer is confronted with. NJ-NAIOP Seminar
Apr. 30: The New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties in conjunction with the State of New Jersey will present a seminar on New Jersey's newest "Business Incentive Programs" at the Newark Club. ISCS Panel
Apr. 30: The International Council of Shopping Centers' New York Next Generation Program hosts a discussion on sustainable initiatives impacting the retail real estate industry. Topics of discussion will include consumer expectations, brand equity benefits, the new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Retail rating system, waste management, recycling techniques and clean and efficient energy. MAS Program
Apr. 30: "World Class Train Stations." Christopher Brown will provide a visual survey of stations from St. Louis to Istanbul to trace the development of the urban train station from its beginnings in the 1820s to the end of the 20th century era of station-building in the 1950s. EDG Seminar
