REBNY hosts sublet seminar

The Real Estate Board of New York is sponsoring a master seminar entitled "The Re-emergence of the Sublet Market: the Mechanics of the Process" on May 16. Attendees will learn to protect thier positions in an ever-changing environment. Topics to be discussed will include: how to understand the bankruptcy law; when does an owner take back space; how does bankruptcy affect the ability to obtain refinancing; does the retrenchment of the dot.com sector pose problems for the real estate industry; and what owners and brokers should know about navigating the process.
A group of panelists will include Bruce Moseler, president of U.S. operations at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., Charles Bendit, a principal of Taconic Partners, Louis Somoza, senior vice president of the Rudin Management Company and David Neier, an attorney with Greenberg Traurig, LLP. The moderator will be Michael T. Cohen, president and ceo of GVA Williams.
The event will be held on Wednesday May 16th, from 8 to 10 a.m. at JRT Realty auditorium, 780 Third Ave. at 49th Street, Concourse Level 2. Fees for the event are $20 for REBNY members, $30 for non-members (includes Continental breakfast).
