Brokers win 3 Mercedes-Benz leases
Real Estate Weekly, April 18, 2001
DaimlerChrysler Capital Services recently concluded its Mercedes-Benz incentive program by awarding three mortgage bankers and brokers the keys to two-year leases on Mercedes-Benz automobiles for their efforts at generating business for the company's commercial real estate division. The winners were announced Feb. 5 at a reception during the Mortgage Bankers Association/Commercial Real Estate Finance Expo in San Diego.
The winners included Richard Koch, of M. Robert Goldman & Company of Millburn, N.J., who generated the greatest number of mortgage transactions with the company in 2000; Nick Barbato, of Cooper-Horowitz, Inc. of New York City, who generated the second highest number of mortgages; and Jerry Swartz, of Pergolis Swartz Associates, Inc. of New York City, whose name was selected at random from among all those mortgage brokers and bankers who completed at least one $5 million deal with DaimlerChrysler Capital Services last year.
"As we've seen in previous years, our Mercedes-Benz Car program continues to show itself as an incentive without equal in the industry," said Constantino Argimon, commercial real estate division president. Argimon noted that plans for the 2001 program are being completed and will be announced to the broker/banker community soon.
