Real Estate Weekly, April 17, 2002
In a retail leasing transaction that will create the first ever women's-only store in the United States for Brioni, the Italian luxury clothing and accessories retailer has committed to occupy 2,500 SF of, ground-floor retail space adjacent to and east of the 57 East 57th Street entrance of The Four Seasons Hotel.
Brioni, which opened its first women's flagship store in Milan earlier this month, is scheduled to open the U.S. women's flagship store by Fall 2002.
"Brioni's decision to launch its women's collection is indicative of their confidence in the luxury women's apparel sector," said Alan Victor of The Lansco Corporation, who, along with Jeffrey C. Paisner, represented the landlord exclusively and served as broker for the tenant in the. negotiations. "Brioni also wanted a location as close as possible to its currently operating men's store, which is also directly west of the hotel's 57th Street entrance."
"This represents a unique opportunity to create brand synergy at the base of one of the world's premier destination hotels," added Paisner.
