Fly fishing store moves to Bar Building

Real Estate Weekly, April 17, 2002

The Burak Organization has orchestrated a transaction in which high-end fly-fishing equipment supplier and tour operator Universal Angler will move into a 1,300-SF retail space at the mezzanine level of the 43rd Street side of The Bar Building, 36 West 44" St., for a 12-year lease term, announces Michael Burak, founder and principal of the firm.

Representing both the tenant and landlord in the transaction was Dana Gordon, executive vice president and in-house counsel for The Burak Organization. The space, which was previously occupied by a Brazilian newspaper publisher, features prominent frontage, giving it high visibility and a competitive edge with such other fly-fishing retail neighbors as Orvis, on 44" Street.

"We are delighted to be able to accommodate such a fine retailer," says Burak. "Fly-fishing has a large and enthusiastic audience and our central location in a high foot traffic area should help to ensure a prosperous tenancy at The Bar Building."
