Bergman Real Estate Group an-announced that Stephen P. Snell has been appointed as director of leasing and marketing.

In his new position, Snell will be responsible for the New Jersey region.

Snell has more than 20 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Bergman Real Estate, he served as vice president of special assets with Crossland Federal Savings Bank.

Houlihan/Lawrence announced that Lisa Ruiz has joined the firm as an associate broker in its Rye/Harrison office.

Prior to joining Houlihan/Lawrence, Ruiz served as an associate broker with Prudential Suburban Properties.

Ruiz holds a B.A. in business from Hartwick College.

Holmes & Kennedy announced that Aurora Banaszek has joined the firm as a sales associate in its Armonk office.

Banaszek is an active member of the community. She resides in Armonk, N.Y

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson announced that Stephen Lefkowitz has joined the firm as a partner.

Lefkowitz has more than 30 years of experience in real estate development. Prior to joining Fried Frank, he served as senior partner of Pillsbury Winthrop LLP. Lefkowitz specializes in financing arrangements, land use, and public/private development.

Lefkowitz holds a B.A. from Yale College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson announced that Melanie Meyers has joined the firm as a partner.

Meyers has 10 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Fried Frank, she served as partner with Pillsbury Winthrop LLP. Meyers specializes in land use, environmental review zoning, and private/public partnerships.

Meyers holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Columbia University.

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson announced that Adrienne W. Bernard has joined the firm as a special counsel in the real estate department.

Bernard has more than 10 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Fried Frank, she served as a counsel with Pillsbury Winthrop LLP. Bernard specializes in public approvals and land use matters.

Bernard holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from New York University.

The 14th Street Union Square Business Improvement District and the Local Development Corporation announced that Jennifer Beisser has been appointed as director of economic development. In her new position, Beisser will be responsible for trade industry forums, district marketing, and retail promotions.

Prior to joining the BID and LDC, Beisser served as head of the entrepreneurial development at the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation.

She holds a B.A. in Latin American studies from Brown University and an M.S. in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina.

Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. announced that Ralph Perna has joined the firm as executive managing director in its Long Island office.

Perna has 25 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Newmark & Company, he served as executive managing director of Grubb & Ellis.

Perna is a member of the Long Island Association, the Advancement for Commerce, and the Suffolk Community College Founcation. He resides in Smithtown, N.Y.

Insignia/ESG announced that Cheryl Alexander has been appointed as director of operations for its New Jersey offices.

Alexander has 10 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Insignia/ESG, she served as vice president of operations with a recruiting company.

Alexander holds a B.A. in sociology from Queens College.

Paragano Construction Services, L.L.C. announced that William Champi has been appointed as project manager. In his new position, Champi will be responsible for the construction of Paragon Village, a senior living community in Mount Olive, N.J.

Prior to joining Paragano, Champi served as project manager with a large general contractor for 10 years. His list of clients includes Edward's Food Market and the Yogi Berra Museum and Stadium.

Champi holds a B.A. in finance from Seton Hall University. He resides in Morristown, N.J. with his wife and two children.

Greenberg Farrow Architecture, Inc. announced that Navid Maqami has been appointed as vice president of architecture.

Maqami has more than 15 years of experience in architecture. He has been with Greenberg Farrow since 1998.

Maqami holds a degree from the Architectural Association of London.

Skyline Equities Realty announced that Mary Ann Lavassas-DeWitt has been appointed as a sales associate for the its Skyline on Brickell community.

DeWitt has more than 20 years of experience in real estate.

Amerada Hess Corporation announced that Joseph P. Wright has joined the firm as account manager in its metro region energy marketing team.

She holds a degree from Queens College. DeWitt is a member of the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral Council and the Real Estate Political Lobbyists Group.

In his new position, Wright will be responsible for new business development and servicing of existing fuel oil and natural gas accounts.

Wright has six years of experience in the energy industry.
