Energy on the curriculum

The Albanese Organization and the Long Island Power Authority cosponsored two forums entitled "Healthy and High-Performance Schools for Long Island" this month.
The forums took place last week at Cantiague Elementary School in Jericho and at Hampton Bays Junior/Senior High School.
The forums are part of a series being conducted by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the Environmental Business Association of New York State, Inc. and the Healthy Schools Network to promote high performance school design and construction practices for K-12 schools in New York State.
"Creating healthy learning environments that contribute to the productivity of students and teachers, as well as to the environmental sustainability of the community, is an attainable goal for every, school district, said Russell C. Albanese, President Of the Albanese Organization.
His company recently completed construction of The Solaire, the first environmentally engineered residential tower in the U.S.
