UJA-Federation recognizes Tishman Speyer's Cohen

The Real Estate & Allied Trades Division of UJA-Federation of New York will honor Jerry L. Cohen of Tishman Speyer Properties at its annual luncheon on Wednesday, May 10, at The Pierre on Fifth Avenue and East 61 Street, according to Andrew J. Singer, chairman of Real Estate & Allied Trades Division.
"UJA-Federation will bestow the Jack D. Weiler Award to Mr. Cohen for his ongoing contribution and concern for not only the Jewish community, but for the entire community-in-need in the Greater New York area," said Singer.
Cohen is currently associated with Tishman Speyer Properties L.P., one of the largest and oldest real estate development organizations in the United States. He is also currently the governor of the Real Estate Board of New York and the president of the Realty Foundation.
Before joining Tishman Speyer, Cohen was vice chair and member of the board of directors of Cushman & Wakefield from 1992 to 1998. He began his career at Brown Harris, Stevens in 1957, stayed for eight years and then became owner of Wm. A. White & Sons. He served as president of Wm. A White/Grubb & Ellis and later as president of Grubb & Ellis International.
