Boar's Head moves staff south
Real Estate Weekly, May 2, 2001 by Parke Chapman
Boar's Head -- the well known deli meat and cheese producer -- will relocate their corporate headquarters from East Williamsburg in Brooklyn to Sarasota, Fla. this summer. But don't expect the move to free up any space off of their Flushing Avenue spread.
"We will not be vacating any of the space here at 24 Rock Street. It will become a sales office/distribution center," said RuthAnn LaMore, a Boar's Head Provisions spokesperson based in Florida. According to LaMore, the move has been in the works for more than a year. With a nationwide staff of 2,500 people, five management positions will be transplanted south,.
Boar's Head has owned space in Williamsburg since the late 1940's, including 24 Rock Street.
