Douglas Elliman announced that Ruth Leonard has joined the firm as regional director of corporate liason at its Port Washington, N.Y. office.
Leonard has more than 30 years of real estate. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, she headed her own firm, the Ruth Leonard Agency.
Leonard is a member of the Don Monti Memorial Foundation, the Sass Foundation for Medical Research, and the Port Washington Real Estate Board.
Thor Equities announced that Andrew W. Schulman has joined the firm as executive vice president of leasing.
Schulman has 20 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Thor Equities, he worked for Westfield, Inc.
Schulman holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan.
Thor Equities announced that Lino. A. Solis has been appointed as in-house counsel.
Solis has eight years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Thor Equities, he served as a legal counsel with G G Retail, Inc.
Solis holds a B.A. from Howard University and a J.D. from New York Law School.
Union State Bank announced that John N. Mecchella has been appointed as member of its chairman's council.
Mecchella is president of Technical Traffic Consultants Corp.
He holds a B.A. from St. Bonaventure University and a J.D. from Pace University. Mecchella resides in New City, N.Y. with his wife and three children.
Wachovia Securities announced that Chad Johnson has joined the firm.
In his new position Johnson will be for conduit-and large-loan mortgage origination.
Prior to joining Wachovia Securities, Johnson served as director with Deutsche Banc Mortgage Capital.

In his new position Livingston will be responsible for conduit and large-loan mortgage origination.
Prior to joining Wachovia Securities, Livingston served as director with Deutsche Banc Mortgage Capital.
Silverstein Properties announced that John N. Lieber has joined the firm as director of development for the World Trade Center.
Lieber specializes in transportation. Prior to joining Silverstein Properties, he served as senior vice president of Lawrence Ruben Company. While there, Lieber managed the $800 development of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and associate air rights.
Lieber holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from New York University.
CORFAC International announced that Carl K. Johnson, Jr. has been elected as treasurer of the organization.
Johnson is president of Johnson & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. He has 22 years of experience in real estate. Johnson's list of clients includes such firms as JCPenney Company, Dial Corp, and the Greyhound Corporation.
Johnson holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
The American Institute of Certified Planners announced that Richard T. Anderson has been appointed as chairman of its College of Fellows.
Anderson is president of the New York Building Congress. Previously, Anderson served as president of the Regional Plan Association.
In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for the mentoring and professional development programs.
Trammell Crow Company announced that John Crozier has been appointed as senior vice president in its New York office.
Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Crozier served as director with Cushman & Wakefield.
Crozier holds a B.A. from the College of Wooster. He is a member of the Real Estate Brokers of New York and CoreNet Global.
N.L. Paragano Associates, Inc. announced that Vincent Sasso has been appointed as project manager.
Sasso has 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining N.L. Paragano Associates, he served as a project manager with Crow Construction. Sasso's list of clients includes such firms as CB Richard Ellis and Lincoln Property Company.
Sasso holds an A.A. from the New York Technical School.
Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. announced that Joan L. Velardi has been appointed as a sales associate in its Paramus, N.J. office.
In her new position, Velardi will be responsible for sales and leasing of industrial and office properties.
Velardi has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. Prior to joining Weichert Commercial, she worked at Stauffer Chemical.
Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. announced that James Skoglund has joined the firm as a sales associate in its Piscataway, N.J. office.
In his new position, Skoglund will be responsible for sale and leasing of office and industrial properties.
Skoglund specializes in capital planning and asset management.
Cushman & Wakefield announced that Jules J. Nissim has been appointed as senior director.
Nissim specializes in industrial brokerage. He serves on Cushman & Wakefield's national advisory industrial board.

Insignia/ESG announced that Jeremy Hackett has been appointed as director.
