Perkins & Will has named Carolyn J. BaRoss (photo) associate principal at the international architectural firm's New York office, according to Carl W. Ordemann, managing principal.

BaRoss has been with Perkins & Will for five years, the past three as a senior associate. Prior to joining Perkins & Will, Ms. BaRoss served in New York City with Taylor Clark Associates, HOK and Mancini Duffy.

BaRoss has worked on a variety of award-winning projects. Some of her interior health care design credits include work on Greenwich Hospital, MidState Medical Center, the Mayo Clinic and the Weill Cornell Center for the New York Presbyterian Hospital System.

Her corporate clients include Merrill Lynch, the New York Stock Exchange, Rockefeller Center, Tiffany & Co., Towers Perrin, Mobil, Campbell's Soup and KPMG Peat Marwick.

BaRoss serves on the advisory board for the Pratt Institute Interior Design Department:

She received her bachelor of fine arts in interior design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A native of Greenlawn on Long Island, BaRoss resides in Manhattan.

John A. Betzig, Jr. has joined Secured Capital Corp, a real estate investment banking firm, as vice president responsible for the marketing and disposition of commercial properties.

Prior to joining Secured Capital, Mr. Betzig was a vice president at Rockwood Realty Associates in New York City. While at Rockwood, Mr. Betzig was responsible for more than $2 billion in investment sales, debt placement and advisory transactions, including such notable transactions as the sale of 1185 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, Fairfax Square in Tysons Corner, and the 633 Third Avenue office condominium in Manhattan.

He is a graduate of Iona College and holds a real estate sales license in New York.

Butler Rogers Baskett, a New York-based architecture and interior design firm, is pleased to announce that Bruce D. Eisenberg, AIA, has joined the firm as a senior project manager and associate. Bruce has over sixteen years of experience on a wide range of corporate interiors projects, new construction, historic restoration and adaptive reuse building types. Bruce received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University and is a registered architect in New York State. He served as chair of the Historic Buildings Committee of the AIA New York Chapter in 1999.

BRB also announces the promotions of the following employees to associates of the firm: Robert Belio, Joseph Bille IIDA, Steven Chrostowski, Peter Elliot, RA, Camil Malouf, RA, Christopher McCagg.

Midboro Management, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Robert D. Grant (photo) as director of management. The award- winning manager and 20-year industry veteran is renowned for his expertise in current breaking trends and sits on the Real Estate Board of New York's Residential Management Council.

Robert D. Grant is the recipient of The Cooperator's Leadership in Management Award 2000 and, in addition, he won both Gold and Platinum Management Achievement Awards from Habitat Magazine this year. He joins a staff of 25, headed by Michael J. Wolfe, who is the sole owner and shareholder of the Midboro Management, Inc.

Superstructures has appointed Neville Kermani (photo) to the position of project manager.

Kermani brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience. A curtain wall expert, he is conversant with the intricacies of metal, glass and stone cladding. He has successfully investigated, specified, and supervised both restoration and new construction projects throughout New York City and surrounding areas.

Kermani received a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Bombay in 1977 and a master of architecture degree from Kent State University in 1979. Prior to joining Superstructures, Kermani worked for Vincent Stramandinoli Associates.

Spectrum Skanska USA, one of the region's leading builders and developers of residential neighborhoods, has announced that Gabriel Pasquale (photo) has joined the company as vice president and chief marketing officer.

Mr. Pasquale, who has 13 years of experience in residential real estate, was most recently vice president, of marketing and sales for K. Hovnanian Companies' northeast regional operations, where he was responsible for the marketing and sales activities for more than 30 active residential communities. During his career with K. Hovnanian, Mr. Pasquale was responsible for overseeing the sales of more than 10,000 new homes and was instrumental in creating the company's world-class, comprehensive Home Design Gallery. He was recently named "Marketing Director of the Year" by the New Jersey Builders Association.

Pasquale received his Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He and his wife live in New City, N.Y.

Ray O'Keefe, President of Grubb & Ellis New York, Inc., has named Peter Carlino a Senior Associate of the firm.

Since joining Grubb & Ellis New York in 1999, Carlino has worked closely with managing directors on major transactions, most recently on the Havit Bank sublease at 399 Park Avenue, the lease for the Inspector General's' Office of New York State at 61 Broadway, and the transaction for e-Media, a new media company at 405 Lexington Avenue.
