Beekman broker party attracts 400
Real Estate Weekly, August 22, 2001
Beekman International Center, LLC, developer for The Beekman Regent, a one-of-a-kind luxury condominium residence on 51st Street and First Avenue, recently hosted two broker receptions to celebrate its Grand Opening. More than 400 of New York's top residential brokers attended.
"The Beekman Regent has received a tremendous response, both from the brokerage community and the general public," said developer Dennis A. Herman, who personally greeted each one of the guests that arrived at the parties. "In fact, so many brokers wanted to attend our reception and preview our product that we needed to host a second party to accommodate them."

The Beekman Regent, which is slated for Fall 2001 occupancy, sits above the handsomely restored facade of a former turn-of-the-century schoolhouse that served as home to various schools throughout the century. The 20-story tower, with its facade of wine brick and cast stone details, has been designed by architect Costas Kondylis to aesthetically blend with the Romanesque revival building created by George W. Debevoise in 1890.
"The Beekman Regent, at 351 East 51st Street, will offer what may well be the most diverse mix of 64 luxury residences ever created for one Manhattan building, including the first loft condominiums to be built in a luxury building on the East Side in modern times," added Adrienne Albert, president of The Marketing Directors, Inc., the building's exclusive marketing agent.
