PEP Real Estate opens office at 41 Wooster St
Real Estate Weekly, August 21, 2002
PEP Real Estate, a full-service brokerage and management company, has recently opened an office at 41 Wooster St. in Soho. The firm, which is headed by John and Ronald Pasquale, provides the following services: real estate brokerage sales and leasing, property and casualty insurance, appraisals, and property management. All services are for both commercial and residential real estate.
According to John Pasquale, "there is no other Soho real estate firm that provides such a wide array of services, which is why we chose the name Property Enhancement Programs (which spells the acronym PEP) for our company.
"Our family has owned, managed, and leased property in Soho, Tribeca, and Greenwich Village for three generations. Our deep roots and our substantial investments, both emotional and financial, are here in these neighborhoods. We bring to PEP not the impersonal corporate structure of a large company that operates a series of satellite offices; instead, we are a local family business that has strong and enduring relations with local landlords and tenants."
"It is the reason we have been able to operate at full throttle," said Ronald Pasquale. "While our new location at 41 Wooster St. has been open for only 10 weeks, our senior broker and VP for marketing and sales, Steve Muller, has leased more than 40,000 SF of commercial space at 65 and 86 Thompson St., 139 Charles St., and 51 Wooster St. among other locations. Steve has been able to carry on our strong, close relationships with landlords and local businesses. He has done an excellent job of fitting the right tenant with the right space, while drawing upon our large portfolio of commercial and residential space.
"Furthermore, subleasing large, excess space for corporate clients in mid and downtown is rapidly becoming a substantial niche of our business. In the current real estate market, where many large companies are downsizing their space, we have been instrumental in helping them sublease superfluous space. In addition, we successfully assist tenants looking to relocate because of our excellent relations with numerous corporate clients, landlords, subcontractors, and tenant support utility services. We have an extensive and thorough database that significantly adds to our high level of support; it lists every available property as well as tenants in need of specific commercial and residential spaces.
"As rapidly as possible, it is our intention to be known as the foremost brokerage and management company in Soho, Tribeca, The Village, Little Italy, Nolita, and China Town.
"It is also our intention to give back to our community. To achieve that goal, we shall be forming the Property Enhancement Program (PEP) Fund that will take a portion of our profits and donate that money to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods in which we do business. That means that we shall endeavor to plant trees, install appropriate street lighting, hire security services, clean graffiti and other endeavors. We are, indeed, committed to maintaining and improving the quality of life in the communities in which we do business."
