Developer funds summer program
Real Estate Weekly, August 21, 2002
Ocean Front Acquisitions, developer of the 56-acre Oceanfront Asbury waterfront redevelopment in Asbury Park, N.J., has contributed $10,000 toward the city's new "Summer Arts in Asbury Park" program.
The privately funded endeavor features a season-long schedule of cultural events geared toward residents of all ages.
"From weekly jazz, gospel, and municipal band performances to Off Broadway productions and open-air movies, Summer Arts in Asbury Park is a truly exciting program," said Anthony Nuccio, the city's director of community relations and social services.
The city publicly recognized Ocean Front Acquisitions' sponsorship during a performance of the Count Basie Orchestra on July 25. "As one of our largest supporters, Ocean Front Acquisitions has made it possible for us to bring our multi-faceted vision to reality," Nuccio noted.
"This program represents not only a vital community outreach initiative but also celebrates Asbury Park's rich history of entertainment and culture," noted Larry Fishman, chief operating officer for Ocean Front Acquisitions. "We are pleased to support its 2002 launch and assist in bringing back all aspects of what earned Asbury Park its title as the 'Jewel of the Jersey Shore."'
