NPM renamed Posner Advertising

Real Estate Weekly, May 3, 2000

Capping its 40th anniversary and a growth in staff and billings, NPM Advertising, which specializes in real estate, has changed its name to Posner Advertising, report Peter and Bob Posner, the brothers who own the agency.

The agency's real estate clients include: Brown Harris Stevens; Cushman & Wakefield; JE Robert Companies; Insignia/ESG; Riverbay Management/Co-op City; Silverstein Properties, Inc.; S.L. Green Realty Corp.; The Emmes Group of Companies; Zeckendorf Realty; and Time Equities.

Founded in 1959 as Newmark Posner & Mitchell, the agency was sold by co-founder Sid Posner to his sons in 1993. "The new name is truly emblematic of the many changes our agency has been undergoing," says Peter Posner.

Adds Bob Posner: "Today's quick pace of change means that we must provide the level of service, advice and counsel necessary to help our clients stay on top of or ahead of what's happening in their industries. Our commitment to our clients is reflected in our new credo: "Marketing at the Speed of Change."

The agency's name change reflects such recent achievements as recent billings of $55 million; the expansion of its Interactive division, focusing on strategic planning and creative development for new media, Internet advertising, and web site design; the hiring of nine new people in key account service and creative positions; and the 50 percent expansion of its office space at 300 East 42nd Street to include most of the fourth floor in addition to all of the second floor.
