MMC's Cohn named top broker again

For an unprecedented fifth year in a row, Melissa Cohn, Chairman/CEO of Manhattan Mortgage Company, has been recognized as America's top residential mortgage broker.
Cohn earned her fifth consecutive number one ranking in Mortgage Originator Magazine's annual nationwide survey by personally closing on an eye-opening 821 mortgages with a cumulative worth of $471.8 million. In 1999, Ms. Cohn topped all other mortgage brokers by handling 740 loans worth over $410 million.
Eight additional mortgage loan officers from the Manhattan Mortgage Company -- Janis Bronstein, Jeff Appel, Bruce Maasback, Beth Divney, Barry Habib, Renee Spindler, Elise Wittenberg, and Craig Frankel -- placed in the Top 200 of the Mortgage Originator survey.
Manhattan Mortgage enjoyed its biggest year ever in 2000, topping $2 billion in mortgage volume.
