BOMA Meeting

May 14 -- The Buildings and Managers Association will hold its monthly meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Chris Ward, commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection, will be the featured speaker at the event. The meeting will take place at the Manhattan Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, at Lexington Ave. and 42nd St Members: $85 per person. Nonmembers: $95 per person. Appraisal Institute

Symposium

May 16 -- The Metro New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will host a Joint Regional Symposium at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. The event will feature four guest, speakers:. Daniel Doctoroff, Deputy Mayor of New York City; Dr. Glenn Mueller, professor, Johns Hopkins University, Real Estate Department; L.J. Cross, president, New York Jets, LLC; and, Congressman Scott Garrett from New Jersey's Fifth Congressional District. The event begins at 8 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast. The symposium will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The-cost is $95 per person. Four hours of continuing education credits have been applied for. REBNY Golf & Tennis Outing

May 19-The Real Estate Board of New York will hold its Annual Spring 2003 Golf & Tennis Outing at Glen Head Country Club in Long Island. Golf tee times are 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registration is 6:45 a.m. for 7:30 a.m. tee-off and 11 a.m. for 1 p.m. tee-off. Tennis is 10 a.m. for singles tournament and 1 p.m. for doubles. Registration is 9:30 a.m. for singles and 11:30 a.m. for doubles Lunch is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cocktail reception begins at 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $375 for full day of golf, $295 for full day of tennis, $225 for full day of fun and $150 for dinner only. May 20 -- The Realty Foundation will hold its annual luncheon. Thomas A. Renyi - chairman and chief executive officer of the Bank of New York, will be honored at the event. REBNY Seminar

May 21 - The Real Estate Board of New York will host a seminar entitled "Fire and Life Safety Requirements for High Rise Office Buildings" at Citibank, 399 Park Avenue, 8 a.m. -- 11 a.m. Guest speakers are Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta, New York City Fire Department, Commissioner Patricia 3. May 28 -- The New York Association of Realty Managers membership luncheon will take place at Tavern on The Green located- at Central Park West and 67th Street. During the pre-pre-luncheon LEARNING SESSION at 11 a.m. the on-going-series, of the' Required Ethics course needed to achieve NYARM certification, will be given by Gumley Haft's chief operating officer, Daniel Wollman, and director of management and The Federation of NY Housing Cooperatives and Condominiums' executive director, Greg Carlson.
