Three real estate executives elected to CREW.NY

CREW-NY (Commercial Real Estate Women of New York) recently elected three new members to the association, it was announced by Victoria Kahn, President of CREW-NY. They are Janice Stanton, managing director, investment research for Cushman & Wakefield, Inc, Robin Klehr Avia, vice president & managing principal "for Gensler Associates, and Susan Betty Dollinger, vice president, se nior credit officer for Citicorp Real Es tate, Inc. All are senior-level women who have broad experience in the com mercial real estate industry.

Janice Stanton is responsible for analyzing investment markets and trends across markets. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, she was the founding partner and head of research for Equinox Investments. Stanton has also served as a portfolio manager responsible for managing pension fund investments in the real estate division of MetLife and SSR Realty. She has managed more than $13 billion on behalf of insurance companies and pension funds over the last 13 years. Stanton is on the research committee of NCREIF (The National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries) and has also been on the re search committees of PREA (The Pensions Real Estate Association) and NAREIT (The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts). Stanton received a B.A. from Wellesley College and is a 1999 recipient of the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers Award.

Robin Klehr Avia oversees operations, policies, and a 460-person staff for the New York office of Gensler Associates as well as satellite offices in Boston and Parsippany, N.J. She was the project principal for the 800,000 SF relocation of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom from Four Times Square and is currently principal for Debevoise & Plimpton's move to 919 Third Ave. and RCN's new campus project in Princeton. Avia is on the advisory board of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture and Design, is a member of the National Board of the International Interior Design Association, was elected to the College of Fellows in June 2000, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dwight Englewood School. Avia holds a B.S., Interior Design, from the University of Tennessee.

Susan Betty Dollinger has been assigned to the Real Estate Group for the past 15 years. Dollinger is responsible for managing a portfolio of distressed real estate properties in the U.S. and Canada and equity investments in Western Europe. Previously, she was the risk manager of the Real Estate Securitization Group, and handled a team of originators covering the northeast sector of the U.S. Dollinger is a current member and former president of the Financial Women's Association. She is the co-author of The New York Edge Savvy Shopper's Survey and has appeared on Channel 4 Midday News, Good Day New York and Eyewitness News.
