Villa Chauvin Salon opens on West 23rd

Real Estate Weekly, May 21, 2003

The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, vice chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, managing director, along with leasing consultant, Jason Pacilli, of Garrick-Aug Worldwide. Ltd. have arranged the leasing of 249 West 23rd St. between Seventh and Eighth Avenues to Villa chauvin Salon. The lease term is 10 years for approximately 1,000 SF.

"249 West 23rd Street is the address of one of the retail locations that make up Chelsea Gardens." says Consolo. "This will be the first of many deals. We "will be repositioning at least six stores."

"In the past decade, Chelsea has gone through a revitalization, as has many other districts in Manhattan, emerging as one of the foremost centers for the arts. There has been a steady transfer of major galleries from other parts of the city to this area, which has become the cutting edge of the New York art scene. It has also become home to super-fashion, with the opening of shops such as Comme des Garcons and Balenciaga. West 23rd Street is the Main Street, the heart, of Chelsea."

The Garrick-Aug team represented both the landlord and the tenant.
