Maureen and Frank P. Liantonio honored by Cancer Society

Maureen and Frank P. Liantonio will receive the American Cancer Society Humanitarian Award for 2001 at Obeka Castle in Huntington, Long Island on June 14.
Frank Liantonio is an Executive Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield, a global provider of real estate services. The firm represents corporations and institutions throughout the United States and in 49 countries around the world.
Mr. Liantonio has been a member of the North Hempstead Unit of the American Cancer Society for over 25 years and serves on its Board of Directors. In 1994 he was named Volunteer of the Year, and serves on the American Cancer Society's Long Island Council.
"Frank and Maureen have demonstrated compassion and leadership in their work with the American Cancer Society," said Cushman & Wakefield President and CEO Arthur J. Mirante II.
Mr. Liantonio is a licensed real estate broker in New York State and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, sitting on its Retail and Commercial Development Council. Mr. Liantonio also sits on the Board of Directors of ePropertyTax, LLC; a Scottsdale, Ariz. based firm that provides web-enabled technology to facilitate the property tax management process. Mr. Liantonio received his BA in Economics from Marist College.

Mrs. Liantonio has been a member of the North Hempstead Unit for 15 years and has become active in the Garden City Unit of the American Cancer Society. She was a committee member of the Phantom Ball in 2000 and is Co-Chairperson in 2001. Prior to this she was president and also a member of the Alumni Executive Council of St. Vincent Ferrer High School in Manhattan. Mrs. Liantonio worked for the Parish of Trinity Church for 20 years as Manager of Parish Financial Services. Mrs. Liantonio received a BA in Psychology from Mercy College and an MS in Special Education from the College of New Rochelle. She was also a post graduate student at Pace University.
