High spirits at Annual Spring Ahead Gala: Real Estate community comes together for a festive evening honoring Tod Waterman and the Jeffrey Modell Foundation

The Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel was sold-out for the 17th Annual Spring Ahead Gala to benefit the Jeffrey Modell Foundation (JMF). Tod Waterman, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, of Reckson Associates Realty Corp., New York City, received JMF's "Man of the Year" Award. This year's committee included Gala Chairman: Harvey Schulweis, (Schulweis Realty Inc.), and Journal Chairman: Scott H. Rechler, (Reckson Associates Realty Corp.), and Gala Committee members: Robert Alexander (Insignia/ESG, Inc.), Lawrence B. Benenson (Benenson Capital Co.), Melvyn H. Blum (Vornado Realty Trust), Richard B. Clark (Brookfield Financial Properties)., Paul J. Ingrassia (Salomon Smith Barney), Mitchell L. Konsker (Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.) Jonathan L. Mechanic, Esq. (Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson), Joshua Mermelstein, Esq. (Fried, Frank, Harris, Shiver & Jacobson), Bruce E. Mosler (Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.), Stephen B. Siegel (Insignia/ESG. The night featured a crowd pleasing Brazilian dance troupe (Le Clique), bringing everyone to their feet and complimenting the event's exotic Carnival theme.
The Jeffrey Modell Foundation is dedicated to the more than 500,000 children and young adults with a primary or genetic immune deficiency.
The event raised over $800,000.
