Terra Holdings announced that Mitchell Haviv has been appointed Information Technology director, vice president of operations. Mitchell will assume project management and systems operations responsibilities while reporting directly to Jim Cahill, Terra Holdings executive vice president, chief information technology officer.
Focusing on operational issues, Mitchell will spearhead the development of a premier IT support group and manage a range of systems projects. Jim Cahill will continue to oversee all departments within the Information Technology division, while providing strategic direction for informational systems, Web site development and online marketing initiatives for all Terra Holdings companies.
Prior to joining Terra Holdings, Mitchell was vice president, Global Technical Strategist at Morgan Stanley where he focused on product design and enhancement. His professional background also includes 13 years as vice president of Information Technology and Product Development at GovPX. Mitchell also served as a New York University programming instructor for well over a decade.
He earned an M.B.A from The Stern School of Business at New York University, a M.S. in Computer Science from Polytechnic University, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from State University of New York.
