NYARM to host annual golf outing

Real Estate Weekly, June 7, 2000

The New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) hosts its popular all-day golf outing and networking event for the fourth consecutive year on Monday, June 12 at Colonial Springs Golf Course in East Farmingdale, Long Island, announces Donna Klein, executive director of NYARM.

The event starts at 10 a.m. with a buffet breakfast sponsored by A.C. Klem, Inc. and concludes with a barbecue dinner and open bar. At last year's outing, nearly 150 members of the real estate community - and avid golfers - participated, with this year's numbers expected to markedly escalate.

"All year long, NYARM conducts educational classes and seminars" points out Klein. "But once a year at our golf outing, we let our 'hair down' and just have a good trine. I think it's one of the best industry events of the season because it is strictly healthy relaxation and fun."

In addition to the breakfast and dinner, refreshment carts will bring beverages and snacks to the golfers as they make their way around the 27-hole course. Before teeing off, participants are invited to warm up at the tournament driving range, as well as practice at the putting green. As for the beginners enjoying the event, a golf clinic will be offered taught by a professional instructor.

In the spirit of sportsmanship, the first golfer to sink a hole-in-one at Valley 8 will win a new Buick Park Avenue, compliments of Scientific Compactor/Boiler and Air Master Window Systems. As with last year's event, NYARM is sponsoring a raffle to benefit its ongoing charity fund.

The all-inclusive price for golf, motorized cart, green fees, driving range, putting green, brunch, barbecue dinner and open bar is $250 for individually participating NYARM members, $950 for parties of four members, and $350 per person for non- members. The golf clinic is $200 per person for members and $275 for non-members. To attend the dinner only, members pay $90 and non-members, $125.
