P&O Nedlloyd Limited has renewed its long-term lease and expanded its North American headquarters by 24,000 square feet at One Meadowlands Plaza in East Rutherford, New Jersey, announced Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, Inc. One of the world's largest container shipping companies, P&O Nedlloyd originally located at the property in 1990 and now occupies approximately 90,000 square feet.
P&O Nedlloyd operates a global network of 77 trade lanes connected to more than 250 main ports, in addition to ports supported by the feeder services. The organization is represented in 140 countries on all continents, and employs more than 6,900 shore staff and 2,100 sea staff.
Cushman & Wakefield's Curtis Foster, Peter Hamburger, Walter Schoenberg and Jonathan Meisel represented P&O Nedlloyd in the recent transaction. The East Rutherford-based brokerage team has also worked with the rapidly expanding company on several projects throughout the United States, including a recent, 25,000-square-foot lease in Chicago.
Cushman & Wakefield's Jacqueline Rowe and Jason Goldman represented MetLife, which owns the 400,000 square-foot One Meadowlands Plaza office complex.
