Insignia/ESG' s Westchester-Connecticut office names top brokers

Real Estate Weekly, June 13, 2001

At its annual awards dinner held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Manhattan, Insignia/ESG recently recognized its most productive brokers in the tri-state region for the year 2000. For the Westchester-Connecticut office, Michael H. Siegel, the firm's executive managing director, earned the Top Broker award, while Colin L. Reilly, associate, was named Top Associate. This is the second straight year that Siegel and Reilly received these awards for their particular areas.

Siegel has been one of the primary forces behind Insignia/ESG's Westchester-Connecticut office since its inception in the early 1990's. He has consistently ranked among the highest producers not just in that location, but throughout the New York Metro region, earning the Top Broker Award three times before. He is one of just 24 Insignia/ESG professionals to carry the title of executive managing director in the area, and the only one in Westchester and Connecticut -- a true indication of both his brokerage talent and leadership ability. And, though his primary focus is the northern suburbs of New York, Siegel's guidance is highly respected outside of his home area -- he is often consulted on complex transactions nationwide and sits on several corporate committees.

Siegel is known for his outstanding service to clients, both as an exclusive tenant agent and owner's representative. He consistently completes many of the largest transactions in the region and has strong relationships throughout the community. The year 2000 was no exception to this rule, as Siegel played a part in several notable deals, including the largest of the year in Westchester- Starwood Hotel & Resorts Worldwide's 203,110 SF headquarters relocation to 1129 Westchester Ave. in White Plains. He was also responsible for Microcast Inc.'s 92,000 SF lease at 33 Turner Road in Danbury, Conn. -- the fifth largest in Fairfield county. In addition, he was part of the team that consummated numerous transactions for prestigious companies including Citicorp NA, Goldman Sachs, Spencer Stuart, and InSite Services.

Reilly is a growing influence in Insignia/ESG's Westchester-Connecticut location, having worked with many of the business community's most prestigious companies. During his three-year tenure at the firm, he won the Top Associate of the Year award twice. Over the past year, his diligence and hard work resulted in several notable transactions, including the relocation of Berkeley College to 52,000 SF at 99 Church St. in White Plains, N.Y. and Philips Medical Systems North America Co. to 75,091 SF at 478 Wheelers Farms Road in Milford, Conn. He also completed new leases for tenants, including the Omnicom Group, The Hartford Financial Services Group, and Folksamerica Reinsurance. In addition, Reilly acted as the owner's representative in Perkin Elmer Instruments' 247,900 SF office/industrial least at 710 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton, Conn.
