CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. (CBRE) has appointed Darcy Mackay, senior managing director, to lead the company's Global Corporate Services consulting practice. In her new role, Mackay will be responsible for growing the company's strategic advisory platform servicing Fortune 100 companies and public sector institutions.

Mackay is a seasoned executive with experience in corporate strategic planning, portfolio analysis, location/ site selection, and land use analysis for both private- and public-sector clients. She will report to Karen Ellzey, executive managing director, who leads the company's global client strategies organization, encompassing consulting, innovation and client development.

With 16 years experience consulting with clients throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, Mackay brings a broad base of knowledge to her global practice through her work with corporate occupiers, developers, investors, and lenders. She has consulted with clients to develop portfolio optimization strategies, select appropriate sites for expansions, and create complex disposition strategies for surplus properties and land. Her assignments for such major clients as General Motors, Pfizer, Washington Mutual, Cisco Systems, and Starbucks Coffee Company have spanned all asset types, covering work in the areas of urban redevelopment, residential development and university housing.

Mackay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is active in numerous industry organizations including CoreNet Global, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association. Mackay also serves on CBRE's Americas President's Advisory Council and is a member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Workforce Housing Loan Fund Technical Advisory Committee.
