NYU Real Estate Institute awards douglas durst 2003 urban leadership award

New York City's real estate movers and shakers gathered recently at the 36th Annual Urban Leadership Award Dinner, held by New York University's Real Estate Institute June 3rd at the newly refurbished World Financial Center Winter Garden. This year's gala honored the enormous contributions made by Douglas Durst to the real estate community.
"It would be difficult to find an organization more closely linked with the growth of New York City than The Durst Organization," said Ken Patton, NYU REI director and The Silverstein Professor of Real Estate. "One of the great strengths of New York's real estate community is its ability to look and plan ahead, through an understanding of the intrinsic and the intangible value associated with living and working in this city. Douglas Durst and his entire organization epitomize this visionary approach to the future growth of our city."
Co-hosting the dinner were James Kuhn, the Real Estate Institute Advisory Board Chairman, and Larry Silverstein, Real Estate Institute Advisory Board Chairman Emeritus. Leonard Boxer, H. Dale Hemmerdinger, Sheldon H. Solow, Daniel R. Tishman and William D. Zabel were the dinner's Honorary Chairs, and the dinner's Chairmen were Robert Fox, Jeffrey R. Gural, Jonathan L. Mechanic, Alan j Pomerantz, Adam R. Rose and Gary M. Rosenberg.
