Real Estate Weekly, June 25, 2003
Greg Cuneo, Chairman, and Brad Singer, President and COO of HRH Construction LLC, led the co-chair committee for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's 21st Annual Race Against MS, an event HRH has supported for over 20 years.
The race benefits the New York City Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and raised over $190,000 to help fight the chronic disease of the central nervous system. The event was on Thursday, June 12 at Belmont Park Race Track, 2150 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, New York.
More than 600 guests participated in a day of thoroughbred racing, memorabilia auctions and high stakes wagering, following a champagne brunch at the Turf & Field Club.
"HRH Construction has been an invaluable ally in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis for more than 25 years, leading the way to securing support from a wide variety of construction and real estate concerns in New York City," stated Carol Kurzig, president of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York City Chapter.
"Other co-chairs now include Anthony Pagano from OD&P, Richard Wood from Plaza Construction and Peter Davoren from Turner Construction.
"Greg Cuneo and Brad Singer have generously continued this exceptional partnership," continued Kurzig.
"Thanks to their support and leadership, this 21st Race at Belmont will bring the total support from this one event to more than $3 million for MS research, services and programs.
The late Frank Ross, Sr. former co-chairman of HRH Construction, along with former Starrett Chairman Irving R. Fischer, launched the initiative against Multiple Sclerosis in 1983.
The duo first raised funds for the MS Dinner of Champions and later, conceptualized the Race Against MS at Belmont Park
