Walsh opened and directed property management, facility management staff, service contracts, event planning, and other building management-related functions for the Hearst Tower, New York City's first LEED Gold Certified office tower. She also managed "Day 2" planning, capital improvement projects, energy efficiency, and ongoing I, EED Gold certification process for the building, which was honored with the 2006-2007 BOMA Pinnacle award for New Construction Building of the Year. Walsh is responsible for overseeing the management services of 40 million square feet of commercial real estate in the Northeast Region. She leads the Major Building Council, a resource team for Grubb & Ellis New York's growing portfolio of properties over 500,000 s/f. She is also responsible for developing training programs to assist with the implementation of green standards in the Property Management portfolio to help clients reduce energy costs. Prior to Grubb & Ellis, Walsh opened and managed the Hearst Tower. She also managed 375 Hudson Street. She began her career with Tishman Speyer at 10 Rockefeller Plaza and 1230 Avenue of the Americas. She later joined Hines Interests Limited Partnership.
