Helping The Homeless Help Themselves

Real Estate Weekly, July 11, 2001

The Hudson Square Partnership, a community program that educates and counsels formerly homeless individuals while employing them within the sponsoring neighborhood to assist them in regaining financial self-sufficiency, was recently formed by the Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (A.C.E.) and Trinity Real Estate.

Trinity and A.C.E. have recruited several Hudson Square owners, including Kazis Associates, David Reck, Jack Resnick & Sons and Newmark & Company, to join them in supporting this worthwhile initiative that benefits individuals in need as well as the, Hudson Square community at large. Pictured from left at the ribbon-cutting ceremony are Earle Kazis of Kazis Associates, Inc., Peter Resnick of Jack Resnick & Sons, Council Member Katherine Freed, David Reck, President of Friends of Hudson Square, Henry Buhl, founder of A.C.E., Jennifer Chau of Project Comeback, Steve Heyman of Trinity Real Estate, Samuel Pagan, a crew member of the Hudson Square Partnership and Dorit Matthews of A.C.E., who all join in to launch the Hudson Square Partnership.
